About Yoga Classes
Monisha teaches classical Hatha Yoga, a practice rooted in thousands of years of tradition in India, designed to balance the nervous, glandular, endocrine, and circulatory systems through steady postures (āsanas) and mindful breathing (prāṇāyama).
Classes focus on grounding the body and mind while building strength, flexibility, and awareness through a slow, meditative pace. Students explore each posture with attention to breath and alignment, deepening presence and self-awareness.
The principle of Ahimsa (non-violence) guides the practice, beginning with care for oneself. Props are used as needed to ensure safety and support.
Through this holistic approach, students cultivate joy, energy, and clarity in daily life, moving toward the ultimate goal of yoga — Samadhi, the union of self with universal consciousness.
This practice is welcoming and accessible for beginners.
